Waterlock House is a very French looking double fronted Georgian house with its original window shutters, at the entrance of the historic village of Wingham, which dates from the 12th Century. The village boasts 3 award winning pubs, a fabulous Indian restaurant, a post office, a bakery, a newsagent and a food store.
The ancient cinque port of Sandwich and the historic town of Canterbury are 15 minutes equa – distant and the buzzy seaside towns of Deal and Whitstable are 25 minutes away. The village is 30 minutes away from Margate’s famous Turner Contemporary.
You can enjoy country walks through apple orchards, with footpaths and bridleways to many of the picturesque nearby villages including Ickam and Wickambreaux.
The full size loft apartment at Waterlock House, with its own private entrance, is available for B&B, offering stunning views over miles of countryside, and furnished with quirky pieces from Branching Out Antiques, so there are lots of beautiful things to enjoy for the duration of your stay.
The apartment consists of a first floor “kitchenette” with microwave and fridge.
On the second floor is a double bedroom, a large living room, and an ensuite bathroom with free standing slipper bath.
